The Story of Dancing in the District

Dancing in the District was founded as a platform to lift up Modern Dance and other Art from around Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

In 2013 DITD gained its first recognition in the pages of Dance Magazine by way of its video short, Silent Amanda, starring Amanda Blythe. DITD has since continued to showcase and support dancers from all over.

Today, the primary focus is Dance Reviews and Dance-driven films.

During these times, dance reviews and criticism are scarce. DITD aims to fill the void.
